How do I set up the basic settings of a wallet?

Q: How do I access the wallet settings page?
In the wallet app, tap the 【Grid】 icon in the top left corner to find the wallet settings option.

Q: How do I change my wallet password or authentication method?
On the wallet settings page, click [Wallet Password] - [Unlock & authentication]. You can choose your preferred authentication method (biometric or password), then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process of changing your authentication method.
If you want to change your wallet password but the [Change Password] option is not displayed on the page, please switch your current authentication method to "Password" first. After switching, you can follow the prompts on the page to modify your password.
Please note that you need to enter your current password when changing your password. If you have forgotten your current password and cannot complete the change, you can choose to reset your password and re-import your wallet to set a new password.

Wallet management
The wallet management feature helps you manage your wallet assets. With this feature, you can easily add wallets and accounts (create a wallet, import a wallet, connect a hardware wallet, use a watch-only wallet), remove wallets, and change wallet and account names.

Custom Network
If you want to use an EVM-compatible network that is not yet supported by your Web3 wallet and manage assets on that network, you can add the network using the custom network feature. Here are the steps to do so:
In the wallet app, tap the 【Grid】 icon in the top left corner - tap 【Custom Network】 - 【Add Network】
On the Add Custom Network page, enter the network name, RPC URL, chain ID, symbol, and blockchain explorer. After completing the input, click [Confirm] to finish adding.
Note: You need to find the parameters for the corresponding network yourself, as the platform cannot provide them. You may try contacting the network's project team to obtain the relevant information. When adding a network, please ensure that the information you enter is accurate to avoid affecting subsequent interactions.
Address book
The address book feature helps you save frequently used wallet addresses or Exchange account addresses for quick access in the future.
1. Add address to address book: On the wallet Home, tap the 【Grid】 icon in the upper left corner to enter 【Address Book】-【Add Address】, then you can add the copied wallet address to your address book.
2. When making a transfer, simply click the "Address Book" option on the receiving address input page. You can directly select an added address for the transfer, eliminating the need to manually enter or paste the address each time. This not only improves operational efficiency but also significantly reduces the risk of input errors.
Note: The [Address Book] option will only appear if the network you select for sending matches the network of the address saved in your address book. For example, if the address saved in your address book is on the ETH network, you will only see the [Address Book] option when you select the [ETH] network for transfers.
Preferences
In the preferences, you can customize the following options based on your personal preferences to enhance your user experience.
Language | Select the language you are familiar with to make it easier to operate and read the interface content. |
Quote currency | Set which quote currency to display your assets in (such as USD, CNY) to help you better understand the value of your assets. |
appearance | You can choose between day and Dark mode or adjust the app's appearance based on your device's system settings. |
Color settings | Customize Markets rise and fall colors (such as red up green down or green up red down) to match your visual preferences |
Interaction Settings | Adjust haptic feedback and screenshot sharing settings |
NFT valuation is included in total assets. | You can set whether to include NFT valuations in your total assets. |
Hidden risks in trading history and small transactions | You can choose whether to hide risky and small transactions in your trading history. |
Hide small assets | You can hide assets with a value between 0.1 and 10,000 USDT. Once the hide setting is enabled, it will apply to all coin assets you hold in your current App wallet. |
Hide amount | Small asset threshold setting: assets below the set threshold will be classified as small assets and will not be included in the total asset calculation. |
Wallet Connect
Wallet Connect means binding your OKX Wallet to your Exchange account. After binding, while logged into the Exchange, you can transfer small amounts of funds to your wallet (with a 24-hour limit of 10,000 USD) without secondary authentication.
