1. What is the difference between a Verified Merchant and a Diamond Merchant?

Merchant Benefits:

In C2C, Star (Cyan) represents Verified Merchant, Diamond (Magenta) represents Diamond Merchant.

Merchant benefits/advantages are as follows:

1. If verification period < 30 days, total buy limit is up to 250,000 CNY, the per buy ad limit is up to 100,000 CNY, and per sell ad limit is up to 2,000,000 CNY.
2. If verification period > 30 days and maintain a good trading record, your privileges will be upgraded: unlimited buy limit and a single order limit of up to 2,000,000 CNY.
3. You can place up to 2 ads per currency or crypto.
4. Access your exclusive dashboard to manage ads, trades, assets, and get the latest marketplace information.
5. Priority support to resolve your complaint.
6. Receive exclusive benefits and merchandise.

2. How do I apply or remove Merchant status on my own?

1) How do I apply or remove Merchant via App:

Step for Become a Verified Merchant on App: Home > C2C trading > Profile > Become a Verified Merchant.

Note: Select Apply on the respective tier card to submit your application. The button will appear greyed out if you haven't fulfilled all requirements.

Step for Remove a Diamond Merchant on App: Home > C2C trading > Profile > Become a Diamond Merchant, and submit your application.

2) How do I apply/remove Merchant status via Web:

Step: You may apply via here or official website (https://www.okx.com) , Buy Crypto > C2C trading > More > Remove Merchant Status

3. Merchant Application Process:

Complete information ➡ Deposit ➡ Pending review ➡ Results feedback

1) The review will be completed within 3 business days from the date of application.

2) Both support reviewers and merchant operations managers conduct reviews and provide maintenance through the platform messages.

Note:
1) Merchants who have been off-boarded and attempt to reapply using another account will be rejected and will no longer be eligible to apply again.
2) We currently do not support passport and driver's license verification for verified merchants without the original ID card. If your account was verified using a passport, you will need to submit both your passport and ID card together for merchant application.

4. How do I start using Merchant Dashboard?

You can access the Merchant Dashboard from Home > Buy Crypto > C2C trading > Merchant Dashboard.

What can I do on the Home tab?

On the Home tab, you can view real-time C2C and VIP trading data — including prices, quantities, number of merchants, and number of ads. You can also filter by payment method or KYC level, check price trends, and view your personal Dashboard analytics.

How do I view or manage my orders?

Go to the Orders tab to view ongoing or completed orders. Select any ad to see its details, and choose to edit, share, delist, or delete it. You can also toggle an ad between online and offline status.

How do I contact users or the Merchant Operations Manager?

Use the Chat tab to communicate with buyers/sellers or reach out to your dedicated Merchant Operations Manager.

How do I manage my payment methods?

Select Receive & Pay to add or manage your payment methods, including bank card, WeChat Pay, and Alipay.

How do I view my trading performance?

The Trading Data Insights tab shows the status of your completed and ongoing orders, as well as your buy/sell activity over the past 7 days.

How do I manage commonly used phrases and other settings?

Go to Settings to:

  • Manage commonly used phrases on Quick replies page

  • View your rating, completed orders (past 30 days / total), and buy/sell completion rate

  • Check your follower count and how many times you've been blacklisted

  • View the list of people you follow or have blacklisted

  • Manage transaction restrictions

  • Set message and sound notification preferences

5. How do I export orders?

1) Transaction Data: You may view up to the past six months; for data over six months, kindly contact customer support.

App : Select Buy Crypto > C2C trading > Orders , you are able to view orders that are pending (In progress/In dispute) or completed (Completed/Canceled).

Web: Select Buy Crypto > C2C trading > My Orders , you can view orders that are pending (in progress/under dispute) or completed (Completed/Cancelled).

6. How do I verify whether the other party is an OKX official?

You may verify through self-service tool: Official Channel authentication

7. Once remove from Merchant Program, how long does it take for the deposit to be released?

Verified merchants who request cancel must submit a request through the App/Web. If the merchant account does not contains ongoing disputes or negative records, the review process will takes 7 calendar days the margin will be transfer in to your funding account.

8. How do I prevent phishing attacks?

(1) Avoid accessing unknown links or logging in to insecure websites, as this may lead to account and password leaks and result in asset loss.

(2) Account security information and authentication protection methods, such as ensuring that your account login name and password are not the same as those used on other websites, and store your private key and seed phrase offline.

(3) Do not rely on random Google searches to find or log in to the OKX website. It is recommended to manually enter the official website: https://www.okx.com

(4) Do not enter your account, password, or other sensitive information in an insecure environment, or disclose your account information to others, especially security-related information such as passwords and private keys.

(5) OKX had launched an anti-phishing code feature. You can set up your anti-phishing code in User Center > Security Center > Anti-Phishing Code. Once the setup is completed, emails sent by OKX will include the code you set. If the email does not contain your anti-phishing code, it is a fake or fraudulent email.

9. What circumstances could cause a merchant to lose their verified status?

  1. The Merchant has voluntarily revoked their Merchant status.

  2. The Merchant was removed for violating transaction rules.

  3. The Merchant account has been deemed inactive for transaction.

10. What if I receive a C2C merchant cancellation email without requesting it?

According to the rules, if a merchant account is deemed inactive, the C2C merchant status will be canceled. You may reapply for a merchant account after one month, if needed.

11. How do I reapply to become a merchant when my merchant status is revoked?

Once you remove your C2C Merchant status, you can't reapply within 30 days. However, you may reapply after the lock-up period (1 month).

Note:

  • If a removed Merchant attempts to reapply using another account, the application will be rejected and future Merchant applications won’t be permitted.

  • Returning merchant who reapply are still required to pass an assessment. Our review team will evaluate you based on your responses during the video assessment and an overall review of your account.

12. If my merchant application is not approved, can I reapply?

Whether you can reapply depends on the instructions displayed on the page.

13. Is there any handling fee or commission for merchant C2C transactions?

In C2C transactions, the platform does not charge any income commission or transaction fees.
